It is easy to look at great accomplishments and think they were always that way. Always a success, always respected and admired, always a great and profitable business. Think Face Book or Google, or an elite athlete that is at the top of their game. We see the success of where they are now. What we typically do not take the time to consider is that in the beginning of most all great accomplishments these people or projects were far from the greatness they later obtained. When starting out, most things are far from certain. Failure and disappointment abounds. If you are starting out on any goal, it can be beneficial to remember that most all the great accomplishments in life went through struggles and uncertainty. You could even say that struggles and uncertainty are part of the right path.
Consider the classic Christmas movie, “It’s a Wonderful Life”. We think of this as something that has always been successful.
